San Jose, Costa Rica
9 hours, a few airport cocktails, and a layover in LA ... we are in Costa Rica!
Love waking up to this!
We arrived in San Jose around 6:30AM and got a shuttle to Hostel Casa Colon. Cute. Quaint.
First thing we did was walk up the street to La Casona, a Costa Rican restaurant, for some breakfast. There were several creepy life size dolls hangin' out in the back.. not really sure what that was about
I had huervos with freshly made tortillas
We stumbled upon a contemporary art museum...

This is what Jasmine calls a "Costa Rican Keurig"

Good food and very nice people at the hostel ... but overall San Jose is not a place that I would recommend visiting. The Central Mercado is cool to see, and the Teatro Nacional is supposed to be great .. but San Jose is a giant flee market for cheap clothes, shoes, electronics, and cat-calling ticos.
We came, we saw, we're off...
Tomorrow- La Fortuna!
Love the museum and la Casona! IS the coffee amazing? More pictures please!! XO - Mom
