Uvita, Costa Rica

We took a very short bus ride from Quepos/Manuel Antonio to Domincal/Univa. Arrived in Uvita and walked a short distance to our hostel.

We stayed at the Flutterby House , which is probably one of our favorite hostels that we've stayed at on this trip so far. Super social bar/kitchen/hang-out area. The vibe was very chill and people from all over stayed here, from study abroad students to families traveling with young kids. Good GOOD Vibes. Buena Nota.

Very respectful of your privacy :)

They had very healthy and yummy smoothies .. today was beet, turmeric, papaya, and ginger - delish!

Old bottles used for walkways

A variety of huts, treehouses, and cabinas available for rent

We rented a cabina (not cabana - a cabina)... we were corrected on that a couple times.

Our bedroom

We chatted with the owner for a bit- she was originally from Half Moon Bay, California and started building this amazing hostel 6 years ago.

Saturday we woke up and rented bikes for the day. A local friend, Arek, showed us around one of the waterfalls of Uvita. Did and little swimming and cliff diving.. see him jumping off the side of a mountain into the falls here.

We biked some more (a lot more) then headed back to the beach just in time to see an incredible sunset at Uvita Beach. Probably one of the most memorable sunsets I've seen. Such a gorgeous beach.

Back to the hostel for dinner and cervezas

Tomorrow, we're heading to our new home - Puerto Viejo!
