I cancelled my flight home
Everyone that we've met on our travels across Costa Rica warned us about this...
"You girls will end up canceling your trip home"
It wasn't until our trip to Bocas del Torro that we realized that there is more to see, more to learn, and more friends to meet.
The last few weeks has been an amazing journey, especially my time spent here in Puerto Viejo. My whole perspective on health and happiness has changed COMPLETELY. I have become more in tune with my health and holistic ways of approaching life.
Puerto Viejo has some incredible healers. I've had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Greg who has opened my eyes to nutrition and being mindful of what you put in your body. When I first arrived here, I had a session with Dr. Greg, who gave me a complete analysis on my current health and provided me with a regime to re-boot my body through diet and natural remedies. I've never felt better. I've also had the opportunity to be apart of his raw food dinners that he and his wife, Hillary, put together once a month for a group of people. If you ever come to Puerto Viejo, I highly recommend you see Dr. Greg.
So we cancelled our trip and are continuing our journey to South America. For Christmas we will be going back to Bocas Del Torro to spend the holidays with our friends at the Palmer Lodge. Then we are sailing from Panama to Cartagena, Colombia on the Micamale, a 6-day voyage that will be making a stop on the San Blas Islands for New Years. We will be meeting up with friends in Cartagena for a few days, then we're heading to Bogota, Colombia where we will be volunteering at a Eco Yoga Farm for a week. After that, we are traveling to Peru to do a 4 day trek up to Machu Picchu. From Peru we are wondering our way back up to Costa Rica for the Envision festival that will be taking place at the end of February.
And the journey continues ...
